The Fun is Done - Now how do I get it off?
Glitter Tattoo Removal
Glitter tattoos last 3-7 days, sometimes even longer with good care.
How to make your glitter tattoo last longer:
-
Don't scrub or dry with a towel. Gently pat dry if you must.
-
Don't apply moisturizers, oils, or alcohol-based products over the tattoo.
-
Avoid covering with clothing. Friction will make it wear off faster.
How to remove a glitter tattoo:
-
Apply a food or skin oil (vegetable oil, coconut oil, olive oil, etc.) or thick, creamy moisturizer directly to the tattoo and let it sit on the tattoo. The oil will start to break down the glue.
-
GENTLY(!!) rub the glitter tattoo to loosen the glitter from the glue. Then use skin soap to remove the remaining glitter and glue residue.
-
You will probably need to repeat the first two steps. Remember, glitter can be abrasive! Do not scrub the remaining glitter so hard that you irritate your skin!
-
Rubbing alcohol (70% isopropyl alcohol) will also break down the glue. Rubbing alcohol can be irritating and I don't usually recommend it.
