Hello! I'm Julie Corbett.  I'm the owner and primary artist of The Gilded Cat and I love painting people!
 

I've been providing high-end, beautiful face and body painting in the Portland area since 2010. I love taking something as simple as face paint and creating memories for you and your family or for a special event.

I'm often asked, "How did you get into this?" 

As a teen, I started working with haunted houses in Miami, FL, and learned about special effects makeup. I then discovered face and body painting. I taught myself as well as took classes from well-known professionals in the industry and even completed a body painting certification. From there, it's morphed into its own colorful career.

​

I have been working with children my whole life: from volunteering with children's museums to teaching science in Portland Public schools, and coaching swim lessons (Go Stingrays!). I currently divide my time between my family including two kiddos, my garden, cooking, traveling, my two mischievous cats, and my other career as an emergency medicine veterinarian.
